– Share – Celebrate: Giving that Builds Community!
The
Waterloo Wellington Fundraising Executives hosted an evening of
great food, music and conversation amongst friends as we celebrated
our 13th annual Waterloo Wellington Community Philanthropy Celebration.
This
occasion was your opportunity to recognize and validate the contributions
of the Stars of philanthropy in our community who make Dreams come
true every day! From the start of the evening to its end, Waterloo
Wellington Fundraising Executives presented your guests with an
event at the highest professional level to assist you in achieving
your donor recognition goals.
You and your guests were welcomed to a Red Carpet Reception at The
Children’s Museum, where the second floor Streetscape and
marquee theatre served as a backdrop to an elegant wine bar and
served hors d’oeuvres amidst the melodic sounds of The Harmonie
Ensemble.
Guests
had the opportunity to mingle and view our Spotlight on Philanthropy
honour wall, featuring your Stars of Philanthropy. Guests were also
treated to a special showing of The Museum’s fascinating exhibit,
The Robotic Chair.
Tim
Haunn of The Haunn Group and an Ultimate Gift ambassador brought
Introductory Remarks and invited guests to a enjoy a private screening
of The Ultimate Gift, a heart-warming film that speaks to all ages
about the gifts of life, evoking the philanthropic spirit in each
of us!
Thanks
to the generosity of the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation
and United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo & Area a limited number
of complimentary copies of the DVD were set aside for Stars, volunteers
and sponsors.
In
recognition of the National Day to End Violence Against Women, and
to acknowledge the ongoing efforts of philanthropists and community
groups in support of this important work, a vase with 14 roses was
displayed in memory of the women in Montreal who lives were taken,
and guests were invited to take a rose to share in this day of remembrance.
