Remember – Share – Celebrate: Giving that Builds Community!

The Waterloo Wellington Fundraising Executives hosted an evening of great food, music and conversation amongst friends as we celebrated our 13th annual Waterloo Wellington Community Philanthropy Celebration.

This occasion was your opportunity to recognize and validate the contributions of the Stars of philanthropy in our community who make Dreams come true every day! From the start of the evening to its end, Waterloo Wellington Fundraising Executives presented your guests with an event at the highest professional level to assist you in achieving your donor recognition goals.
You and your guests were welcomed to a Red Carpet Reception at The Children’s Museum, where the second floor Streetscape and marquee theatre served as a backdrop to an elegant wine bar and served hors d’oeuvres amidst the melodic sounds of The Harmonie Ensemble.

Guests had the opportunity to mingle and view our Spotlight on Philanthropy honour wall, featuring your Stars of Philanthropy. Guests were also treated to a special showing of The Museum’s fascinating exhibit, The Robotic Chair.

Tim Haunn of The Haunn Group and an Ultimate Gift ambassador brought Introductory Remarks and invited guests to a enjoy a private screening of The Ultimate Gift, a heart-warming film that speaks to all ages about the gifts of life, evoking the philanthropic spirit in each of us!

Thanks to the generosity of the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation and United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo & Area a limited number of complimentary copies of the DVD were set aside for Stars, volunteers and sponsors.

In recognition of the National Day to End Violence Against Women, and to acknowledge the ongoing efforts of philanthropists and community groups in support of this important work, a vase with 14 roses was displayed in memory of the women in Montreal who lives were taken, and guests were invited to take a rose to share in this day of remembrance.
